Three Note Coil Ascending Picking Patterns [Guitar]

So lately I have been freeing up some time to practice playing the guitar. Over the last ten years, I have averaged about an hour a day playing, but keeping it more of a fun thing to do with the occasional creation of a song. Now, I’ve started putting myself to the grindstone and doing all of the exercises I used to do when I first started, by going through The Exercise Book. So yes, scales galore (as you can see above). This time it’s actually a lot more fun though, because it is really increasing my knowledge and love of music. I was telling it friend that it’s weird because I’ve always just played what sounded good, rather than looking into what I was playing — Now I’m counting the notes as I go through them and pushing my skill (or lack of) to the limit.

It’s been a fun experience and although my fingers are getting sore again (it’s been at least 9 years since that’s happened) I’m pushing myself to become better which is ultimately making myself feel a whole lot better at the end of the day.

Oh and if you would like to play the same three note coil in F major that I am playing above — here it is:
